THE MONTGOMERY SPECIAL FLYING PLANK 3

This is the third Flying Plank made to date. Commissioned by Orcadian musician Douglas Montgomery, a long time fan of the original instrument, 2021 saw the delivery of this guitar. It differs from the original in the fact that, as well as the Seymour Duncan stacked humbucker, it has a “dog - ear “ pickup in the neck position. Of uncertain origins, (Douglas had it lying around….) whatever it is, it is LOUD. A three way switch links the two. A cherry neck with a rosewood fingerboard, Gotoh tuners, gold plated hardware, Nashville style bridge with a trapeze tailpiece and the obligatory six inch nail ( 22k gold leaf) strap buttons complete the picture.
